    U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. The ceremony, held after the final hike of recruit training, marks the end of the transformation from recruit into United States Marine. Golf Company graduated June 9, 2017. Today, approximately 19,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 12 weeks of rigorous, transformative training.
