Cpls. Scott Venegoni and Adam Cunningham, both Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), search charred tent remains for any hot spots during a training exercise held aboard Forward Operating Base Dwyer, Afghanistan, Dec. 10. The Marines completed the training to demonstrate how quickly a fire can start and spread throughout a tent. Things to avoid are daisy chains, which are multiple circuits plugged into each other to extend another circuit, smoking and candles. Tent inhabitants should also ensure their smoke detectors and fire extinguishers are working and should unplug any electronics not in use.
