New recruits from Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, receive their initial gear during receiving at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, June 19. The recruits will receive the rest of their gear at the end of the week. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Lima Company is scheduled to graduate Sept. 15.
