CAMP FOSTER, OKINAWA, Japan—Brig. Gen. Paul J. Rock Jr. assumes command of his Marines during the Marine Corps Installation Pacific Change of Command June 27 aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Prior to becoming the Marine Corps Installations Pacific commanding general, Rock, also known by his call sign “Rocket,” was the Director of Strategy, Policy and Plans at U.S. Southern Command.
