WATERS OFF GUAM (June 28, 2017) Fire Controlman 2nd Class Jonah Brooks, from Virginia Beach, Va., conducts maintenance on the close-in weapons system (CIWS) aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86). Shoup is currently on an underway period in the 7th fleet area of operations. The U.S. Navy has patrolled the Indo-Asia-Pacific routinely for more than 70 years promoting regional peace and security.
