12/20/04 - An F/A-18 Hornet assigned to CVW-3 launches from one of four steam powered catapults on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) on Dec. 20, 2004. Aircraft CVW-3 embarked on USS Harry S. Truman are providing close air support and conducting Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions over Iraq. Truman Carrier Strike Group ten (CSG-10) and her embarked Carrier Air Wing Three (CVW-3) are currently on a regularly scheduled deployment in the Persian Gulf in support of the war on terror.
