The 86th Medical Support Squadron biomedical equipment technicians perform annual maintenance on next-generation portable therapeutic liquid oxygen units on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, June 21, 2017. Next-generation portable therapeutic liquid oxygen units are liquid oxygen systems that are used on aeromedical evacuation missions to provide breathable oxygen to patients. By using their own materials, BMETs have changed the entire maintenance process, effectively cutting the four-week process down to just three days.
