Inert weapons dropped from U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancers practicing attack capabilities impact the Pilsung Range, July 7. The Lancers are assigned to the 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron, deployed from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, and took off from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam to conduct a sequenced bilateral mission with South Korean F-15 and Koku Jieitai (Japan Air Self-Defense Force) F-2 fighter jets, July 7. The mission is in response to a series of increasingly escalatory action by North Korea, including a launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on July 3. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt.
