Sgt. 1st Class Donald Spring, a Virginia National Guard Soldier assigned to the 29th Infantry Division, and a staff sergeant from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) Special Operations Command pose after exchanging their countries’ flags following the Jordanian-American Military Fitness Challenge May 10, 2017, near Amman, Jordan. The challenge consisted of air-squats, sit-ups, push-ups, and burpees. The event, which was recorded for broadcast on social media, highlighted the physical fitness of both JAF and U.S. Soldiers and challenged the Jordanian public to beat the Soldiers’ time.
