A giraffe chews on leaves from a nearby branch at the San Diego Zoo, Dec. 23. Giraffes are native to Africa and live in savanna habitats. Females grow to be 14 feet tall while males grow to 18 feet. Giraffe tongues are an average of 18 to 24 inches long.
