A CH-53E Super Stallion heavy-lift helicopter with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Reinforced) drops an Amphibious Reconnaissance Platoon "hard duck" raid craft in the ocean during helocast training off the coast of Australia as part of Talisman Saber 2017, July 11, 2017. VMM-265 is part of the Aviation Combat Element of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Talisman Saber is a biennial exercise designed to improve the interoperability between Australian and U.S. forces. The 31st MEU is taking part in Talisman Saber 17 while deployed on a regularly-scheduled patrol of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
