A howitzer cannon fires off a blank round to salute Brig. Gen. Frederick R. Maiocco Jr., Commanding General, 85th Support Command, during the 85th Support Command’s relinquishment of command ceremony on July 9, 2019 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Maiocco served there from August 1, 2014 to July 9, 2017. Maiocco will be moving on to take command of the 7th Mission Support Command in Germany. The new commander for the 85th SPT CMD is expected to take assumption of the unit in September.
