Chief Warrant Officer 4 Brandon Erdmann, of Laramie, Wyo., holds his daughter, 8-year-old Annastasia Erdmann, during a deployment ceremony for Brandon Erdmann’s unit, the Wyoming Army National Guard’s C Company, 5th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, Jan. 11, at the Wyoming Military Department’s Joint Forces Readiness Center, in Cheyenne, Wyo. Erdmann is a veteran of multiple deployments, receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross for his most recent deployment with the unit in 2008. The unit will deploy to Fort Hood, Texas, for training before heading to Afghanistan. This deployment ceremony comes a day before Annastasia Erdmann’s ninth birthday.
