Seaman David Hoversten from Santa Cruz, Calif., reviews his duties as the phone and distance line signalman on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan during a replenishment at sea with the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Guadalupe. The P&D signalman uses colored paddles to communicate with other ships during RAS evolutions. Ronald Reagan is currently underway preparing for an upcoming deployment.
