BREMERTON, Washington (July 18, 2017) Cmdr. Case Garrison, the aviation enlisted community manager, speaks to Sailors assigned to USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) during a Fleet Engagement Team brief aboard a berthing barge used to provide living and work space during the ongoing maintenance period. The Fleet Engagement Team is a group of community managers, detailers and placement officers who go out to the fleet to keep Sailors informed how personnel policy affects their careers. The Fleet Engagement Team is from Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS) and Naval Personnel Command (NAVPERSCOM) Enlisted Community Management and Career Management departments. John C. Stennis is conducting a planned incremental availability (PIA) at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, during which the ship is undergoing scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
