The U.S. Army Special Forces has eight different patches to award Scouts who passed the challenge required for each patch during the 2017 National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve near Glen Jean, W.Va., July 21, 2017. The collection of patches represents all seven groups of the U.S. Army Special Forces, while the center piece represents the Special Forces' crest. The 2017 National Jamboree is beng attended by 30,000 Boy Scouts, troop leaders, volunteers and professional staff members, as well as more than 15,000 visitors. Approximately 1,200 military members from the Department of Defense and the U.S. Coast Guard are providing logistical support for the event. (U.S. Army photo by Spc.
