PACIFIC OCEAN (July 19, 2017) Operations Specialist 3rd Class Bernard Rolfes, a native of Winston Salem, North Carolina, assigned to the Operations department aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), stands watch as a lookout during a replenishment-at-sea with Military Sealift Command Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Matthew Perry (T-AKE 9). San Diego is embarked on a scheduled deployment as part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, which is comprised of more than 1,800 Sailors and 2,600 Marines assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), and San Diego.
