Sgt. Ruben Cajandab, a Never Leave a Marine Behind program instructor for Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 3, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), talks to Marines about the program during suicide awareness training aboard Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, Jan. 20. Marines watched the Never Leave a Marine Behind video and talked about the acronym RACE, which stands for recognize, ask, care and escort. These are the steps Marines should follow when they see a fellow Marine having trouble. The Marines completed the training in preparation to redeploy to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., their home station.
