Petty Officer 3rd Class Nicholas Ferra, construction mechanic, and Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Grennel, construction mechanic, of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 compact gravel in preparation for the rainy season. In a Seabee Battalion Alfa Company maintains battalion equipment and performs the upkeep of the equipment yard on a daily basis while deployed. NMCB 3 is part of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command’s warfighting support elements, providing construction operations and security in support of overseas contingency operations.
