Fort McCoy NCO Academy holds IDRP ceremony

Soldiers participate in an Instructor Development and Recognition Program, or IDRP, ceremony July 12, 2017, at the Staff Sgt. Todd R. Cornell Noncommissioned Officer Academy at Fort McCoy, Wis. The ceremony recognized four academy Noncommissioned Officer Education System instructors who earned the Army’s Basic Instructor Badge. The IDRP supports the Army Learning Model by transitioning instructors away from direct instruction methods for all types of learning. The IDRP goal is to incorporate the use of more learner-centric instruction and facilitator skills that are aligned with internationally recognized standards for master facilitators and instructors. The U.S. Army Reserve Command Sergeant Major, Command Sgt. Maj. Ted. L. Copeland, attended the ceremony. (U.S. Army Photo by Scott T. Sturkol, Public Affairs Office, Fort McCoy, Wis.)
