Lance Cpl. Jesus Villafranca, a rifleman with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, reports his post as secure during a training evolution Jan. 20, at Camp Pendleton, Calif. Villafranca currently resides in Brownsville, but grew up on the other side of the Rio Grande in Mexico, just minutes from the Texas-Mexico border.
