PACIFIC OCEAN (July 23, 2017) Capt. Pete Collins, the commanding officer aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22) looks through the Mark 3 Mod 5 Binoculars, “The Big Eyes’’, at the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) while transiting the Pacific into the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
