Capt. Douglas Mikatarian, Chief of Staff of the Enterprise Carrier Strike Group, receives a briefing from the staff of the Portuguese Navy Medical Simulation Center. The medical facility is located at the School of Naval Technologies, a unique training facility designed to teach sailors the skills required to respond to potential hazards they may face in a humanitarian and disaster response mission. The students also learn firefighting, flooding control, and urban search and rescue. The sailors from the Enterprise Carrier Strike group visited the school during a port visit to Lisbon.
