Maj. Gen. K.K. Chinn, Army South commander, signs the agreed to actions, called ATAs, during the closing ceremony of Brazil and U.S. army-to-army staff talks July 26. Chinn thanked all involved for what was accomplished in a short amount of time. "As you all are aware," said Chinn, "Brazil was our first country with which Army South began our staff talks in 1984 and these talks continue to be mutually beneficial to both of our armies, and achieve the design of strengthening the ties between two of the world's most robust democracies."
