PACIFIC OCEAN (August 1, 2017) Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Ahmed Makin, a native of New York, assigned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), conducts an advanced stretcher bearer training in the ship’s medical triage. San Diego, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th MEU, is operating in the Indo-Asia Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
