Spc. Jeremy Burton, armored crewman, assigned to 2nd Squad, 3rd Platoon, Company C, 1st Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, stands by as a suspicious bottle he found during a foot patrol Jan. 31, in Arghandab District, is inspected by Sgt. Jonathian Defibaugh, Team Leader, assigned to 2nd Squad, 3rd Platoon, Company C., 1-66, 1BCT, 4th Inf. Div. Burton, a native of Birmingham, Ala., is in charge of leading the squads foot patrols by waving the metal detector over every inch of the ground the squad walks during their patrol. Defibaugh, a native of Amelia, Va., is in charge of investigating suspicious items found during foot patrols. Plastic bottles are one of the components used by insurgents to make improvised explosive devices.
