Col. Gregory Townsend, incoming commander, accepts the organizational colors from Brig. Gen. Rodney D. Fogg, Quartermaster General, during the 23rd Quartermaster Brigade Change of Command Ceremony July 28 at Seay Field. Townsend succeeded Col. Tamatha A. Patterson, who had been commander since July 2015. Townsend will lead a brigade that supports the graduation of roughly 23,000 advanced individual training Soldiers yearly. His last assignment was with the U.S. Africa Command where he was the Strategy Branch and Strategy and Posture Division chief. Patterson is scheduled to take on responsibilities as the CASCOM G3 at Mifflin Hall.
