Doherty exchanges rank with a Japanese Self Defense soldier during a Mongolian cultural day event, part of Exercise Khaan Quest 2017, at Five Hills Training Area, Mongolia, August 4, 2017. Doherty is the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade public affairs officer. Participating nations experienced Mongolian traditional music, archery, horse racing and wrestling competitions.
