Airman Pedro Miyares, aviation boatswain’s mate (fuel), from Miami, Fla., fuels an F/A-18 Hornet on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Aviation Boatswain’s Mates (Fuel) are responsible for keeping aircraft fueled and ready for action at a moment’s notice. The Ronald Reagan Strike Group is currently underway conducting Joint Task Force Exercises prior to deploying to the Western Pacific and Central Command areas of operation.
