A simulated improvised explosive device is inconspicuously placed during Marine Wing Support Squadron 271’s Counter-IED training at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., Aug. 3, 2017. Nearly 30 Marines in MWSS-271’s motor transport section completed the weeklong C-IED course, and learned how to successfully apply the lessons learned by navigating a course training area filled with hidden notional IED’s. MWSS-271 is assigned to Marine Aircraft Group 14, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Jason Jimenez/ Released)
