U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Seth O’Connor, an armorer attached to Task Force Koa Moana 17, teaches members of the Vanuatu Police Force the capabilities and specifications of the M16A1 assault rifle aboard the USNS Sacagawea, off the coast of Vanuatu, Aug. 19, 2017. Koa Moana 17 is designed to improve interoperability with our partners, enhance military-to-military relations, and expose the Marine Corps forces to different types of terrain for familiarity in the event of a natural disaster in the region.
