GRAFENWOEHR, Germany - Spc. Jacob Henrikson, a Soldier competing for the title of U.S. Army Europe's Best Warrior, is evaluated on how to properly prepare a range card as part of the testing at the crew served weapons range portion of the 2017 U.S. Army Europe Best Warrior Competition. Competitors were further evaluated on how to load and shoot three crew-serve weapons, specifically the M249 light machine gun, M240 machine gun, and M2 Browning, and conduct of assembly and disassemby of those weapons systems. Twenty-two Soldiers, noncommissioned officers, warrant officers and officers from units across the European theater and U.S Army Africa converged August 20 - 25 to compete in U.S. Army Europe’s 2017 Best Warrior Competition, in Grafenwoehr, Germany, where they faced a five-day barrage of mental, physical, and tactical trials to test their skills and resiliency.
