U.S. Army Sgt. Jeffrey Williams, an Infantryman assigned to the Tactical Assault Command, Brigade Troops Battalion, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, explains how to operate the Stryker installed (CPOF) a digital battle tracking system to Alaska Senator Mark Begich at the Army's National Training Center in Fort Irwin, Calif., Feb 24. Begich traveled from Alaska to the Mojave Desert to talk to the Soldiers of the 1/25th about their pre-deployment training at the NTC. During their rotation at the NTC, the Alaska-based soldiers conducted 24-hour operations in preparation for the Brigade's upcoming deployment to Afghanistan later this year. Begich toured Forward Operating Base Denver in a Army Stryker, a combat vehicle, and enjoyed Meals- Ready to Eat with the soldiers.
