Matt Hopper, a Telecommunications Specialist for Task Force 51, Army North (Fifth Army), Fort Sam Houston, conducts a vehicle inspection of the sentinel mobile communication platform in preparation to provide support to civil authority in Houston from the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. The sentinel can push information to customers within 15 to 30 minutes of arrival and fully set up within a few hours. TF-51 is scheduled to deploy to Kelley Annex next to Lackland Air Force Base to provide command and control over Title 10 assets, which will also provide support to civil authority. The mission of TF-51 is Army North’s contingency command post to conduct support for Defense Support of Civil Authority (DSCA), homeland defense and theater security cooperation in order to promote the defense and security of the United States.
