170830-N-UK333-0037 LOS ANGELES (August 30, 2017) Culinary Specialist 1st Class Andrew Bishop, Culinary Specialist Seaman Brandon Billaiu, and Culinary Specialist 3rd Class Scott Thomas, assigned to the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Pasadena (SSN 752), review rules with Leigh Smith, Port of Los Angeles media relations, for their participation in the culinary competition Galley Wars, where they will compete with other military teams during the second annual Los Angeles Fleet Week. LA Fleet Week is an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard team and experience America's sea services. During fleet week, service members will participate in various community service events, showcase capabilities and equipment to the community, and enjoy the hospitality of Los Angeles and surrounding areas have to offer.
