The 98th Training Division (Initial Entry Training) commanding general, Brig. Gen. Miles A. Davis, leads his brigade commanders onto the field during an inactivation ceremony at Fort Benning, Georgia on July 8, 2017. The U.S. Army Reserve division inactivated eight units that day as part of a larger realignment to increase and maintain readiness. The units being inactivated dated back to 1917 and 1946 and their Soldiers served in numerous operations ranging from World War I to Afghanistan.
