170807-N-VO150-260 (Aug. 7, 2017) Navy Cargo Handling Battalion One uses the cranes aboard USNS Dahl to lower an Improved Navy Lighterage System warping tug from the ship’s deck to the water as part of Lift On/Lift Off operations during Maritime Prepositioning Force Exercise 2017 (MPFEX17). MPFEX17 is a Naval Beach Group Two and 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade exercise that trains mission critical in-stream skills in support of the Maritime Prepositioning Force concept of operations for Bold Alligator 2017.
