    Soldiers from Alpha Company, 1-124th Infantry Battalion interacts with the mobility impaired evacuees prior to the landfall of Hurricane Irma at American Senior High School, in Miramar, Florida on Sept. 9, 2017. The 1-124th Infantry Battalion is tasked with providing security and assisting displaced civilians throughout South Florida. Over 7,600 Soldiers and Airmen from the Florida National Guard have been mobilized in anticipation of Hurricane Irma, many of them pre-staged to assist civil authorities in disaster relief operations throughout impacted areas.
