Airmen of the North Carolina Air National Guard gather for a flag lowering ceremony in remembrance of the 2001 September 11th terrorist attacks, while at the North Carolina Air National Guard Base, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Sept. 11, 2017. This year marks the 16th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, the members of the 145th Airlift Wing remembered the event by gathering for a flag lowering ceremony to honor the American citizens who lost their lives.
