1st Cavalry Division Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Peter Chiarelli offers up a handshake and a heart felt (thank you) to 1st Sgt. Robert Blakey, 36, of Washington, D.C. Blakey was awarded the Purple Heart Medal for injuries sustained in the battle of Fallujah, and the Bronze Star Medal with (V) Device for bravery in Najaf.
