SOUR LAKE, Texas —Soldiers serving with the 153rd Infantry Regiment, 39th Brigade Combat Team, Arkansas National Guard, load a local’s vehicle with essential water, food, toiletries, diapers and even toys and games at the Frank H. Carpenter Volunteer Fire Department in Sour Lake, Texas, Sept. 9 2017. In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, over 16,000 military personnel from several states came to lend a hand with relief efforts by ensuring locals and evacuees had what they needed until they’ve transitioned.
