ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 13, 2017) Intelligence Specialist 1st Class Nicholas Ponczka conducts Ships Nautical or Otherwise Photographic Interpretation and Examination (SNOOPIE) training aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto (CG 56) during humanitarian relief efforts following Irma's landfall in Key West, Florida. The Department of Defense is supporting Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Irma to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
