Roxanna Zadlo, human resources officer, gives senior leader overview remarks to the 85th Support Command’s staff administrative specialists during the command’s Human Resources workshop at their headquarters near Chicago, September 14, 2017. The purpose of the workshop, held from September 11–15, was to sync policies, procedures, business practices, structure, and information to the command’s SAS’, located across the continental United States. The 85th Support Command, with more than 4,000 Soldiers assigned, supports more than 55 Army Reserve battalions and brigade support elements throughout the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico. Many Soldiers assigned to the 85th Support Command are operationally controlled by First Army, and are observer coach/trainers that prepare, train, and validate Soldiers at Mobilization Force Generation Installations, ahead of mobilizations and deployments for CONUS and overseas missions.
