    II Marine Expeditionary Force   

    Marines with 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, don the French fourragere on their service alpha uniforms, recently. The Marines of the 6th Marine Regiment wear the braided green rope on their left shoulder in remembrance of the heroism and sacrifice of the Marines who fought valiantly in World War I and were awarded three Croix de Guerre by the French government.
