Justin Putman, a lieutenant with the Fort Bragg Fire Department learns how to activate the laser on the Ahura FirstDefender, 14 Mar., on Pope Army Airfield, N.C. The Ahura enables first responders to quickly identify hazardous solids and liquids. “This system takes the guess work out and makes it easier for us to ID dangerous materials,” the Hope Mills, N.C. native said.
