On Sept. 18, 2017 the Michigan National Guard’s C Company, 1st Battalion, 125th Infantry Regiment and the Royal Wessex Yeomanry, a British Reserve armor regiment, completed a combined arms training exercise at Sennelager Training Area, Germany. There were several dignitaries present to watch the exercise, including Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex. In addition to watching the training exercise, the dignitaries visited with troops and the Earl of Wessex presented British combat marksmanship badges to Soldiers of C Co. that achieved a score of 40 or higher out of 50 during qualification shooting on the British SA80 assault rifle. In this picture, Lt. Col. Raymond Stemitz (center), commander of the 1-125IN, briefs the Earl of Wessex regarding the combined arms training exercise, and the overall training that has occurred between C-1-125IN and the RWxY.
