Australian Army Pvt. Giles P. Garrett, infantryman for 5th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, laughs and smiles after receiving his surprise birthday cake Feb. 27 at Patrol Base Mohammed. The cake was made by placing several layers of pancake and chocolate together with a self-serve pudding topping. The cake was made almost entirely from food found in military ration packs.
