Lt. Gen. James T. Conway [left] and Maj. Gen. James N. Mattis consult with one another in Central Iraq, March 30. The generals, who command I Marine Expeditionary Force and 1st Marine Division respectively, are among the most senior leaders in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Gen.
