Residents of the Bikou-en orphanage enjoy a homemade lunch supplied for by Naval Air Facility Misawa personnel and family members. NAF Misawa has a 20-year relationship with the orphanage, and its sailors and DoD employees often organize events there throughout the year. Following a 9.0-magnitude earthquake that triggered a massive tsunami, there's been food shortages throughout Japan and orphanages like this one have been especially hard hit.
