Michel Falzone, from Oak Grove, Kentucky, presents a Stetson cowboy hat to Electrician's Mate 1st Class Eric McDaniel, from Vernon, Alabama, after awarding him Sailor of the quarter during littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth's (LCS 3) exchange of command. The event also marked the ship's five year commissioning anniversary. Fort Worth is a Freedom-variant LCS and is designed to be fast, agile, shallow draft, and mission-focused with the ability to operate in littorals and open ocean.
